I'm a physics PhD student studying at Macquarie University. My research interests include Planetary Nebulae (PNe), the stellar population in the centre of our Galaxy, line ratio diagnostics in PNe and the inter-stellar medium.

My thesis topic aims to elucidate various properties of PNe in the centre of our Galaxy. I am primarily interested in constructing the Planetary Nebulae Luminosity Function for Galactic Bulge PNe, which aims to complement those recently constructed for the LMC (Reid) and local 1kpc sample (Frew). To do this I have collected narrow-band [OIII] photometry from a 15 night run on the 40-inch at Siding Springs Observatory (SSO) and a 6 night run on the 4m Blanco telescope in Cerro Tololo, Chile.

A HST image of the Cat's Eye Nebula. Found in the northern Draco constellation it's relatively bright and nearby (~1.0kpc +/- 0.3)..
